X is for Xeric

The formal definition relates to a very dry ecosystem

Habitats so dry that very few plants can grow there are described as xeric. … Ecologists sometimes use the terms xeric and arid interchangeably to mean “very dry.” You might read about the xeric conditions in the Sahara Desert region, or xeric habitats that allow only very short, scrubby bushes to flourish. ~ Vocabulary.com

But, there’s always hidden potential even in the driest environments…

How we engage with a Xeric environment is a metaphor for finding abundance in a world of perceived scarcity

We can either focus on the lack or get creative about identifying and expressing the invisible capital that exists in abundance…
