J is for Journey

One of the downsides of the transactional digital world is that people are entrained to rush to the next step on the plan rather than allowing the journey to unfold. It’s not that they don’t have an interest in experiencing other ‘side roads’ but the imperative of time weighs heavily on their shoulders.

I’m fortunate that I had the opportunity to travel at my own pace to reach this point in the journey. I am of the generation that is versant in both analog and digital languages and tools, giving me the privilege of failing and having the time to integrate important lessons along the way.

These were failures in monetary measures, but, huge successes in every other form of capital captured by the term ‘community wealth’, including relationships, respect, trust, environmental, energy, knowledge that create the basis of shared experiences leading to awareness, wisdom, empathy and, eventually, a thriving community. ~ The Arc of Failure Bends Towards Success
