2021: The Year of Living Poetically

I’ve had a completely unexpected twist in my tale in 2021: I became a poet.

Like many of you, I had written the requisite haikus, rhyming couplets and other language forms in elementary and junior high school. However once I got the grade, there was no more experimentation.

My dad was the poet of the family, and that was fine with me.

As I went to sleep on February 16 2021, I had no idea I’d wake up the next morning as a poet.

I have written over 200 poems since 2/17/2021.
